The Adult Services Department offers a wide variety of materials and programs to fill your entertainment and informational needs. We provide popular and classic fiction and non-fiction, magazines, newspapers, and pamphlets. We also have an extensive genealogy research department, which includes resources such as Indiana census microfilm, the local newspaper on microfilm dating back over 100 years, local school yearbooks, city directories, and more.            Adult Department
The Children’s Department of the La Porte County Public Library offers a wide variety of materials including hardback and paperback books, board books, pop-up books, audio cassettes, audio cassette/book sets, record albums, magazines, and pamphlets. The "Parent’s Shelf" contains materials designed for use by adults (parents, teachers, care givers) on topics related to child development and educational needs            Children's Department
