Requests MUST include:

• Your written request for information, including as much specific information as possible
• A self-addressed, stamped envelope
• A check or money order to cover the cost of your request (no cash, please) Make checks/money orders out to LaPorte County Public Library

Fees charged for this service:

• $5.00 for the initial search requested (person, record, event, subject, etc.)
• $1.00 for each additional search requested

Example: A search for an obituary for Mary Smith will cost $5.00. A search for an obituary for Mary Smith as well as a search for an obituary for John Smith will cost $6.00. Searches for five (5) different records, the maximum per request, will cost $9.00.

You will receive one photocopy of our findings for each of your requested searches.

You may ask for a maximum of FIVE (5) searches per written request.
Refunds will be made for unsuccessful searches.
